Here is how you make Shrimp sautee - Bengali style:

4 servings - Take 2 TB oil and heat on med high, take onion (cut in half and sliced thinly) put in oil...heat until softened, put in chopped garlic - when onions are golden, put in turmeric and paprika. Mix well - drop shrimp and stir well w/onion mixture & add salt. Drop in pepper when almost finish cooking. Then drizzle remaining TB of oil over shrimp - mix thoroughly; turn off stove - sprinkle cilantro over dish. Sit for 2 minutes & serve. (Use water if onions are not browning - I also will spray the shrimp instead of putting last TB of oil)...Play with it - carmelized onions with garlic and shrimp a wonderful combination.
