Turn it on and let it heat up.2.Pick over and rinse the lentils. Set aside.3.Spray a skillet with non-stick spray. Saute the onions, and celery for about 5 minutes, adding water as needed until cooked. Add the garlic and cook and stir for about a minute longer. Then add the rinsed lentils. Cook and stir for a minute or so until the lentils are hot.4. Pour the lentil mixture into the slow cooker with the catsup/water/spices mixture.5. Cook on low for about 6 hours. 6. Serve over hamburger buns. Makes 5 servings, 1 cup each.
