Here is how you make Ham and Vegetable Bisque:

Chop potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and cube the ham. In a stockpot, boil them over high in the chicken broth and garlic. When the carrots are tender, add the peas. Add the cornstarch to the cold water and mix well. Reduce the heat to medium and add cornstarch to the pot and stir thicken. Turn off heat. Mix half an half with the sour cream.
