2 tablespoons grated peeled fresh ginger (or jar)
1 TB plus 1 teaspoons five-spice powder
1 Yellow, Red or Orange Bell Pepper cut into thin strips
1 lg sweet onion cut into thin strips
1 10 oz bag of Broccoli Slaw
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
Optional: slivered meat or tofu

Here is how you make 5 Spice Lo Mein with Vegetables:

DirectionsBreak noodles in half and cook according to package directions. Place in a large bowl. Combine ginger, five-spice powder, and meat/tofu if using in a medium bowl; tossing to coat. Heat small amount of oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add in onions, peppers, and broccoli slaw, saute until tender-crisp. Add to bowl with pasta. Then in small amount of oil add meat/tofu mixture; saute 2 minutes or until browned. Stir in water and hoisin sauce; cook 2 minutes or until meat/tofu is done. Add mixture to noodles and vegetables; toss well to combine.
