Here is how you make Italian Crusty Bread:

Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Scald the milk, dissolve in it the honey, salt, and butter. Let the milk cool for a few minutes. Add the yeast to the milk, add herbs and garlic. Mix. Stir in flour and cover. Let the dough double in size (approx 45 minutes), stir down, beat with a spoon. Split dough in two and form loaves. Place on cookie sheet. Let rise again.
