This is my favorite dish I've made so far. You can use whatever veggies you have available. The recipe includes my favorites. Any cooking wine will do, I also sub italian seasoning if I don't have fresh basil. Sometimes, I serve this over roated red potatoes instead of pasta. If you cut out the sausage, the dish will have a little over 300 calories per serving. Yum! I hope you enjoy as mush as I do!

6 oz Chicken Sausage, sliced (Open Nature Spinach & Feta Chicken Sausage is my fav.)
4 cloves Garlic
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
Red Pepper Flakes to taste
6 leaves Fresh Basil, chopped
1/3 c Marsala Cooking Wine
3/4 c Chicken Broth
1 c Broccoli, chopped
1/2 c Asparagus Tips
1/2 c Mushrooms, sliced
3 T Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
8 oz Whole Wheat Fettuccini, cooked


How Do I Make Chicken Sausage and Veggie Pasta?

Here is how you make Chicken Sausage and Veggie Pasta:

Heat oil over medium heat. Brown sausage & set aside. Add garlic, salt, pepper & red pepper to pan- cook 3 minutes. Add sausage, basil & wine- cook 3 minutes. Add stock & bring to a boil, lower heat. Add Broccoli, asparagus & mushrooms. Cover & leave ajar- cook 8-10 minutesAdd cream cheese & stir until mixed in (add cornstart to thicken if necessary). Add cooked pasta, cook 2 minutes.
