24 oz. Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole Grain/Wheat Spaghetti Noodles
1.25 lb lean ground turkey meat
1 tsp. ground cumin
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbs. finely chopped onions
3 cans tomato sauce
2 tsp. oregano, dried
2 tbs. basil, fresh
1/4 c. shredded cheese


How Do I Make Viv's Homemade Spaghetti?

Here is how you make Viv's Homemade Spaghetti:

1. Combine turkey, cumin, salt, pepper onion, and garlic in large saucepan. Cook until browned. 2. Add tomato sauce. Stir to mix, bring to boil, then reduce to simmer. 3. Add basil, oregano, olive oil, and cheese to sauce. Let simmer. 4. In large pot, bring water to boil and cook pasta to preference. Drain. 5. Preference: I add my pasta to my sauce and mix before serving because I have kids and its easier. You can just ladle it over individual pasta servings as well, altho I would then add a little oil to pasta as it is boiling to reduce the stickiness.Notes: Fresh herbs or dried herbs can be used, I use a combination, depending upon what is on hand. I use a 1/3 kind of conversion, i.e. 1tsp dried for every 1tbs. fresh. The longer the sauce simmers, the more the flavors will blend but if pressed for time (I usually am), it works without the time.
