Heat 1 T Olive Oil in large skillet, add garlic and heat throughAdd 1.25 lb ground turkeyAdd spices to taste (oregano, basil, parsley, minced onion, black pepper...) and brown turkeyAdd 1 can diced carrots and 1 can diced tomatoes to meat, cook for 5 minutes or soAdd 2 jars pasta sauce (I use Ragu Chunky Garden Combination)Add about 1 tsp sugar to meat sauceSimmer 10-15 minutesIn small bowl, combine 20 oz. ricotta cheese with 1 medium eggAdd spices to your taste (oregano, basil, parsley) and mix wellPut about 1.5 cups sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 lasagna pan (I prefer glass)Lay 3 noodles on top of sauceSpread half the ricotta mix on top of the noodlesPour 1.5 cups sauce on top of the ricotta and spreadPut 1 1/3 cups shredded cheese on topRepeat the layering stepsLay the final 3 noodles on top of the cheesePour the remainder of the sauce on top of the noodlesSprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the sauceCover with foilBake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutesRemove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or so until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese is melted Number of Servings: 12Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user SSCHMIDT928.
