Nothing like homemade lasagne on these cold winter days. My daughter asked me to make lasagne this weekend, so I thought I would calculate the recipie out & see how it landed calorie wise.

What Are The Ingredients For Mom's Lasagne Recipe?

The ingredients for Mom's Lasagne are:

1 lb ground turkey sausage
1 lb lean ground beef
1 package lasagne noodles
3 cups pasta sauce (Ragu Chunky Garden Style is calculated)
12 ounces part skim ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 large eggs
Seasonings to taste


How Do I Make Mom's Lasagne?

Here is how you make Mom's Lasagne:

Brown ground beef & drain. Brown ground turkey sausage & drain. Squeeze as much fat as possible out of both meats. Mix browned meats with 2.5 cups pasta sauce & 1 cup of water & set aside. While meat is browning, mix together ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozarella cheese, parmesan cheese and eggs on medium bowl. Add whatever seasoning you like to the cheese mixture (I use minced garlic & parsely). Place remaining 1/2 cup of pasta sauce in 9 X13 baking dish, spread around to cover bottom of dish. Place one layer of uncooked noodles in bottom of pan. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over the uncooked noodles. Spread 1/3 of the meat/sauce mixture over the cheese mixture. Repeat with another layer of noodles, cheese & meat mixture until all us gone, making sure the top layer is the meat sauce. Sprinkle remaining cup of mozarella cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees 50-60 minutes, until heated through and bubbly. Remove foil for last 10 minutes to brown the cheese. Remove from oven & let stand about 10-15 minutes to let the lasagne set. Cut into 12 servings.
