1 1/2 c. white flour
1 tsp salt
1 pkg active yeast
1 c. beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon suggested)
2 Tbs olive oil

How Do I Make Beer and Basil Pizza Crust?

Here is how you make Beer and Basil Pizza Crust:

In mixing bowl, mix flours, salt, and yeast. Heat beer in microwave or saucepan to 130-140 degrees. Add beer and 2 Tbs. olive oil to flour and mix as much as possible with fork. Turn out onto floured surface and knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Divide dough in half, cover, and let rest 10-15 minutes while you prepare pizza toppings. When ready, flatten dough to desired thickness. Mix remaining 2 Tbs of olive oil and basil; brush half onto each crust. If not using a pre-heated pizza stone, prebake the crust for 5-10 minutes until light brown. Then add sauce, cheese, etc. and bake to desired doneness.
