Ground beef, lean, 8 oz (sub. ground turkey for lower calorie/fat/flavor)
Crushed Tomatoes, one large can
Tomato Sauce, one large can
Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes, one large can with juice
Tomato Paste, 1/2 small can
Red Wine, 4 oz
Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
Onions, 1 cup
Garlic, 4 cloves chopped
Green Pepper, 1/4 cup diced
Mushrooms, 1/2 cup sliced
Oregano, 2 tbsp
Basil, 1 tbsp
Salt, 1 tsp
Pepper, 1/2 tsp

Here is how you make Steve's Spaghetti Sauce:

Brown ground beef in a large stock pot. Drain fat and set aside. Saute garlic and onion until soft, add spices and saute for another minute. Add remainder of ingredients (including ground beef) except for green pepper and mushrooms. Simmer low, covered, for 1/2 hour stirring several times.
