Here is how you make Cheese Palzone:

Preheat oven to 350 degreesStrain the cottage cheese to remove excess liquid and combine in a bowl with the Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, and dried Italian herbs to taste.Warm pita loaves 2-3 minutes in 350 degree oven until pliant or microwave on high for ten secondsCarefully make a 3" incision in the edge of each pita round. (Alternatively, cut a 2" - 3" arc out of the circumference of the pita round. Using a butter knife or fork handle and without further tearing or cutting the edge of the pita, gently open the pita loaf into a pocket. Fill the pita with the cottage cheese mixture using a tablespoon.Place the filled pita on a lightly greased baking sheet and gently pat until level and the cottage cheese distributed evenly inside the pita.Using a sharp knife, make two small (1") slits in the top of the pita.Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.Serve with a dollop of your favorite low-calorie pasta sauce.Serving Size: Makes 2 PalzonesNumber of Servings: 2Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user MPODOWITZ.
