This was a favorite recipe shared with me at my wedding shower. I've made it several times and in extremely lare quantities. It's a great crock pot or Nesco recipe. What Are The Ingredients For Mission Chicken Recipe?The ingredients for Mission Chicken are: 4 Chicken Breasts with skin on - Cut in half or2 - 2 1/2 lb frier quartered 1/4 cup butter 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1 tsp salt 1 tsp season salt 1 6oz can frozen OJ concentrate thawed 1/2 cup hot water 2-3 drops Tobasco 1 cup halved seedless grapes 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds How Do I Make Mission Chicken?Here is how you make Mission Chicken: In a dutch oven or large skillet, brown the chicken. You may move it to a crock pot after browning, or brown in the crockpot also. Remove chicken; add cinnamon, cloves, salt, OJ concentrate, water and Tobasco to the drippings. Whisk until blended. If using a dutch oven, return chicken. Pour the sauce mixture over chicken. Continue cooking on low heat for 4-5 hours. Add grapes in the last few minutes just to warm and garnish with almonds.
