I make my chickpeas by soaking a cup of dried chickpeas overnight in water in the fridge. The next day I throw them in the pressure cooker for 20 mins on low- med pressure (10-15 psi).A cup of dried chickpeas usually comes out ot around 400-500 grams on my kitchen scale. There's no need to fuss over the exact amount. When they are done cooking, drain them. If you're using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse them well. You also might want to hold off on adding salt at the end because chickpeas are usually canned with salt. Measure to see how much you have.Throw your chickpeas in the food processor. Put all the other ingredients in, and pulse/blend for a few minutes until it's nice and smooth. If you want it a little thinner in consistency, add warm water a tablespoon at a time until it's how you want it. Season to taste. I like it better warm, so you might want to zap it in the microwave for a minute. II eat this with rice crackers and cucumber slices.
