Here is how you make Spanish-style Black Beans:

In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, celery, red pepper, and garlic. Stir for 3 minutes, until just beginning to soften. Add cumin and stir to coat. Pour in black beans (with the bean water) and the 2 cups water. Stir in the bouillon. Bring the beans to a boil. Then turn the heat to low and simmer, half-covered for 30 minutes. Stir periodically to ensure they're not sticking to the bottom of the pan. They're finished cooking when the liquid has thickened. Serve hot. Enjoy!Makes about 8 (1/2 cup) servings.
