2 lbs. Whole Fresh Green Beans
.5 tsp. Garlic Salt
1 Tbsp. Land O' Lakes, Unsalted Butter


How Do I Make Steamed Green Beans?

Here is how you make Steamed Green Beans:

Add water to steamer and bring to a boil. Snap of ends and strings from green beans and add to steamer. Steam for approx. 30 minutes or longer, checking periodically the tenderness that you want. (If you like yours crisp then cook a little shorter, or if you like them kind of mushy then cook longer.) When desired texture is achieved then remove from steamer and pour beans into a bowl. Slice butter over top so it will melt and then sprinkle garlic salt and mix throughly. I also sometimes add sliced carrots and new red potatoes to the steamer with the beans.
