1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
3 Tbl. chopped fresh parsley

Here is how you make Lubia (Lebanese Stewed Greeen Beans):

In a large stock pot, saute the onion in the olive oil until translucent and tender. Add the can of tomatoes, chicken base, sugar, cinnamon, and allspice to pot and stir to combine, Add the green beans and toss until coated. Cover pot and cook over low heat until beans have softened and sauce has thickened (approximately 2 hours). Add a little water if sauce becomes too thick or threatens to burn. Right before they're done, add parsley and salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm or room temperature. Makes 8 servings of approximately 3/4 cup each.*Optional: Top each serving with a dollop of plain yogurt (Greek style if you have it) and crumbled pita chips.*Alternative Cooking Method: This recipe can be cooked in crockpot or slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours. Just saute the onion in a pan first and then add all the ingredients, except the parsley to the slow cooker.
