Add the can of tomatoes, chicken base, sugar, cinnamon, and allspice to pot and stir to combine, Add the green beans and toss until coated. Cover pot and cook over low heat until beans have softened and sauce has thickened (approximately 2 hours). Add a little water if sauce becomes too thick or threatens to burn. Right before they're done, add parsley and salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm or room temperature. Makes 8 servings of approximately 3/4 cup each.*Optional: Top each serving with a dollop of plain yogurt (Greek style if you have it) and crumbled pita chips.*Alternative Cooking Method: This recipe can be cooked in crockpot or slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours.
