2 tsp Brown sugar
2 Tbsp Molasses
2 Tbsp Caraway seed
2 Tbsp Dill seed
1 Tbsp Yeast
2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
2 Tsp Salt
2 C Rye flour
5 C Bread flour


How Do I Make Caraway Dill Rye Bread?

Here is how you make Caraway Dill Rye Bread:

Makes 2 loaves or 24 slices.1. Heat water and coffee in microwave to 110 degrees, then pour into large mixing bowl.2. Add sugar, molasses, caraway and dill seeds, then yeast. Stir to dissolve yeast and sugar. Let sit for awhile for yeast to proof.3. Stir in oil, salt and rye flour. 4. Start mixer and allow rye flour to incorporate into liquid. 5. Add 2 cups of bread flour and mix until dough is smooth and elastic. Continue to add flour until dough stiffens. Note that you may not use all of the remaining bread flour. Switch mixer paddle for dough hook. Continue to knead bread dough until smooth and elastic. 6. Grease mixing bowl. Move dough to mixing bowl and ensure that the top is covered with shortening or cooking oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap.7. Place mixing bowl and dough into a warm area. Allow dough to rise approximately one hour or until doubled in bulk. 8. Grease two bread pans. Punch down dough and separate into equal halves. Roll each half into a ball and then form to fit the bread pan. Cover and allow to rise over the top of the bread pan. 9. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 10. Bake bread for 30-40 minutes. 11.
