Steel cut oats (optional) 2 tsp. salt 1 stick butter How Do I Make Honey Oat Bread?Here is how you make Honey Oat Bread: In small bowl mix yeast and 1/2 cup hot water, set asideIn mixing bowl, 2 cups flour, oats, honey, salt, 2 1/2 cups hot water, butter, sugar, and yeast. Mix on low speed till wet, increase to medium for 2 minutes.Add the next 4 cups of flour 1 cup at a time, switch to a bread hook, and run on slowest speed for 3-4 minutes, stop when mixture pulls away from bowl sides, dump out onto floured surface and knead by hand until elastic and no longer sticky. Use up to 1 cup additional flour for this. Form into a ball.Pace in large greased mixing bowl, and cover with a towel. Place in 80-95 degree place to rise, for 35 + minutes or until doubled in volume. Remove and punch down flat to remove bubbles. Divide into 2 sections, flatten and roll up into loaves. Place in greased loaf pans, and cook at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until it sounds hollow when tapped lightly on top with wooden spoon. Remove from pans immediately and place on cooling rack.
