Heat milk until it is very warm and mix with cornmeal in a large mixing bowl. (This softens the cornmeal.) Let stand for 10-15 minutes while prepping other ingredients.2. To cornmeal-milk mixture, add canned corn, margarine, half of the honey, egg, and vanilla. Save the other half of the honey.3. Mix together remaining dry ingredients in a separate, smaller bowl: both kinds of flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.4. Sift dry ingredients into batter. Stir gently, just long enough for ingredients to be moistened.5. Pour batter into a greased 13"x9" casserole dish and bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes.6.
