Here is how you make Sauteed Carrots:

Slice carrots to about 1/4 inch thickness. Works well if cut on an angle. Place in a microwave-safe glass bowl with about 1/2 inch of water. Cook for about 6-8 minutes (depending on your microwave) until a fork easily pierces a carrot slice. Drain off any water. Heat a large skillet and then add the olive oil. Add in the unpeeled garlic. Cook for a few minutes and add the carrots. Carrots will begin to "carmelize" and become dark. Turn carrots over to assure both sides are cooked.
