This is a favorite family recipe that my Godmother used to make for me all the time as a little girl. When she makes it however, she uses full fat sour cream, and regular jello. When the milk comes to a boil add the Splenda and vanilla. In a 4 cup bowl or larger, put the two Knox gelatine packs. Slowly add the milk until the gelatine has dissolved completely. Once the gelatin has dissovled add the 2 cups sour cream. Stir until smooth. Add the remaining milk mixture. Set aside. Choose which flavor Jello you would like for the bottom layer. Mix one jello packet with 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water until jello is dissolved. Pour the Jello into a 9X13 pan. Allow the Jello to set completely in the fridge (or if you live somewhere cold, I just stick it outside) . Once the Jello is set Use a third of the cream mixture, Ladle on top of the Jello. Let that set completely, and then do another Jello layer. Combing each Jello lpacket with 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Continue the process alternating layers of Jello with the cream after each layer has set. Jello is the last layer.
