Allow to boil on med-med high heat for 30 min, being careful not to boil the pot dry.4. Turn off burner, drain rice in mesh strainer and then return the rice to original pot and cover, allowing rice to steam for another 15 minutes using its own heat from the lidded pot and the rice itself.
