How Do I Make Yogurt-2% Lactose Free - 1/2 C. Serving - Louise?

Here is how you make Yogurt-2% Lactose Free - 1/2 C. Serving - Louise:

All items should be very clean and free of grease. Into a 4 C. pyrex bowl, add 1 C. Carnation Instant Non-Fat Dry Milk. Mix in 4 C. Lactose-Free Milk. Mixture should be free of lumps. Heat in Microwave to 160*. Cover with plastic wrap to avoid a skin on the top. Cool to 110*. Add yogurt starter to a small amount in a measuring cup and mix that back into the warm milk. Mixture should be free of lumps. Place in a yogurt maker for 5 to 12 hours. When the yogurt is set, allow it to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours before disturbing. Makes one quart yogurt. Any 2% milk can be used but I prefer Lactose-Free milk. The dry milk should be the INSTANT type because the non-instant milk will be lumpy and difficult to mix-don't even think about mixing it with an egg beater because it will make a lot of frustrating foam. This recipe makes delicious yogurt. Save 1/2 c. in the refrigerator each time to use as a starter for the next batch.Serving Size:?Makes 8 1/2- cup servings. 95 Calories each.
