1. Mix the sugar, flour, yeast and salt and rub in the fat. 2. Add the water and mix with a wooden spoon to give a fairly soft dough, adding more water if necessary. 3. Turn it on to a floured board and knead well. 4. Divide the dough into two and put into greased 450 g (1 lb) tins (or divide in half, shape into rounds and put on a greased baking sheet). Bake in the oven at 230??C (400??F) mark 8 for about 15 minutes, 6.
