How Do I Make Country Style Crusty Bread with Spent Homebrew Grains?

Here is how you make Country Style Crusty Bread with Spent Homebrew Grains:

Mix and knead all ingredients together until dough is smooth but not sticky. Use lowest speed and dough hook on an electric mixer, which should take about 10 minutes. Can also be done by hand - put dry ingredients in bowl, make a 'well' in the middle and then add wet ingredients. Mix and knead until combined in a smooth dough (approx 20 mins). If you want to be sure of your yeast, you can put it and the sugar in the water a few minutes before adding to the dry ingredients to start acting.Divide dough in half and put each half in a lightly oiled bowl (I used canola spray). Cover bowls with teatowel and leave in a draught-free place until doubled in size (about 1 hour). Tip dough onto workbench, knock back and knead each piece by hand for a few minutes. Allow to rise again, covered with a clean teatowel. Form each piece into a loaf like a fat cigar. Place loaves on a liberally floured clean tea towel and allow to rise again for 30 minutes.Preheat oven to 220C/428F with a heavy baking tray in it. Roll each loaf onto hot baking tray. Bake for about 20 minutes, turn loaves over and bake for another 5 minutes. Tap base of each loaf and remove from oven if it sounds hollow. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.Serving Size:?makes two loaves
