Here is how you make Honey Wheat Berry Bread:

Combine wheat berries, sugar and 1 1/3 cup water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and partially cover. Simmer for 1 hour until firm-chewy and slightly tender. Remove mixture from heat and let stand until room temp, about 4 hours. Place ingredients in bread machine (use 2/3 cup of cooked wheat berries). Program for whole wheat cycle, press start. Dough ball will be firm and nubby, do not add more liquid. This dough is a slow riser. Remove from pan and place on cooling rack when baking cycle ends. Let cool to room temp before slicing.
