By hand gradually stir in wheat flour, mixing well after each addition until smooth. Gradually add white flour, enough to make a soft dough, mixing well after each addition so that flours are well blended. Turn out onto lightly floured boardand knead in additional white flour until dough loses its stickiness. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 -10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover loosely with a light towel and let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 1 - 1 1/2 hours (or overnight in the fridge). Punch down, divide dough into thirds and shape into loaves. Place in well greased loaf pans, cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. (Or, if you want to make buns, divide each third of dough into twelve, shape the pieces into balls and place side by side in 9x13 baking dishes and let rise till doubled. I usually make 2 loaves and one dish of buns at a time.) Bake at 375 for 30 - 35 minutes, or until done (bread sounds hollow when you tap on the bottom). Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.Number of Servings: 36Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user FIONAFAE.What's The Nutritional Info For Old School Whole Wheat Bread? The nutritional information for Old School Whole Wheat Bread is:
