Here is how you make Home made whole wheat tortillas:

In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt and baking powder. With a fork or hands, gradually work the shortening until it is all incorporated. Add enough water to make a soft, but not sticky dough. Turn on to a lightly floured board and kneed for 5 minutes. Divide into golf ball sized balls and roll each ball flat, into about a 6 inch circle, about 1/8 inch thick.Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat. Place tortillas one at a time into a hot dry skillet, cook until brown on one side. Then turn and brown the other side.
