If you don't have time to simmer the chili before serving, soften the onion and bell pepper in the skillet too.2) Add all other ingredients, stirring well.3) Cook in a 4-5 quart crock pot for at least 4 hours on low (2 hours on high). Resist the urge to take the lid off of the crock pot while cooking.
