How Do I Make Lowfat Banana Bread?

Here is how you make Lowfat Banana Bread:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.Beat applesauce and sugar until well-blended. Add bananas, eggs, and vanilla. Make 'buttermilk' by combining milk and lemon juice. Stir baking soda and flour together; add flour mixture and milk alternately to banana mixture until well-blended. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour evenly into loaf pans and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.When my bananas get too ripe, I throw them in the freezer in the peel until I have enough to make this recipe.
