What is so great about this recipe is you can make it your own , with different add - ins.No cooking required. 1 - Serving I take the dry ingredients for this recipe in sandwich bags, one for each day when I travel and a plastic container to soak ingredients overnight. In the morning just add some fat free milk or yogurt, and your choice of add - ins 1/2 cup slow cooking, oats, uncooked.1/2 tsp cinnamon, vanilla or other natural flavorings.1 tsp brown sugar or honeyEnough pure water to cover oat mixtureJust ripe fruit, apple, banana, orange, berries, or canned unsweetened fruit.Place oats in a contanier and add enough pure water to cover oats. Put top on container and place in refigerator overnight. When I trave I put container in a small insulated bag and add some ice cubes.In the morning add your choice of add- ins too oat mixture .I add 1/4 cup raisins & 2 Tbsp. chopped nuts, sugar and cinnamon or allspice before soaking overnight. Sometimes I add dried fruit before soaking.Remember to add all calories for your different add - ins for a total calorie count.
