1 tablespoon corn starch
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cloves
generous handfuls of raisins, chopped walnuts, chopped pecans, sunflower seeds, chopped prunes, chopped almonds, or whatever else you may have at hand
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup applesauce
1/4 cup water

Here is how you make Vegan Breakfast/Trail Bars:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix thoroughly the bananas, molasses, corn starch, applesauce, water and vanilla. Next, stir in the remaining ingredients, leaving the oats and seeds/nuts for last. Lightly spray a cookie sheet or pyrex with a nonstick vegetable spray (I use Trader Joe's olive oil spray myself) and cover it with the dough, which will be heavy and grainy.
