1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. 1% milk
2 T. maple syrup
2 T. butter
1 t. salt
1 egg
1 and 1/4 c. and 2 and 1/2 c.flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 t. cinnamon
1/4 c. dried cranberries and pecans pieces
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. hot water
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 t. maple or vanilla flavoring
1-2 t. milk


How Do I Make Skinny Cranberry-Maple Cinnamon Rolls?

Here is how you make Skinny Cranberry-Maple Cinnamon Rolls:

In large mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast and allow to stand 10 min. Heat milk, syrup, butter and salt in small saucepan until warm. Using mixer, add 1 egg and milk mixture to yeast mixture and slowly add in the 1 and 1/4 c. flour. Add as much of the 2 and 1/2 c. flour as you can. Turn dough onto floured surface. Knead in enough flour to make dough soft, smooth and elastic. Shape into ball and place in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for an hour. Punch down dough and turn onto a floured surface. Cover and let rise 10 min. Meanwhile grease a 13x9 baking pan. In a small bowl, combine 1/3 c. brown sugar, cinnamon, cranberries and pecans. Roll dough into a 15x8 rectangle. Sprinkle pecan mixture. Roll up rectangle. Pinch dough at seam, and slice into 18 rolls. Arrange pieces in pan. cover and let rise in a warm place OR overnight. Preheat oven to 375 F. Bake 25-30 min. In a small bowl combine the 2 T. brown sugar and 1 T. hot water, stirring to dissolve sugar. Whisk in the powdered sugar and flavoring. Whisk in enough milk to make drizzling consistency. When rolls are done, let cool, then drizzle with icing.
