Here is how you make Healthier Oatmeal Cookies:

Sift together all dry ingredients and set aside. Blend together shortening and sugars then add eggs and mix well. Stir in water and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients, combining all ingredients well. Stir in oats.Drop by teaspoonsful onto baking sheet. I like to line my cookie sheets with parchment paper. Bake at 375 for approximately 13 minutes. Makes about 54 cookies or 4 and 1/2 dozen.
