The ingredients for Ginger Ale are:

7.5 cups water
43 grams grated ginger
1 cup sugar
1/4 oz dry active yeast


How Do I Make Ginger Ale?

Here is how you make Ginger Ale:

Place 1 cup of water with 1 cup of sugar and ginger, stir over heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let it steep for 1 hour.Strain mixture through fine sieve. Mix yeast with small amount of water, let bloom. Pour yeast mixture and ginger syrup into sterilized 2-liter bottles. Top off with water and cap lightly. Leave on counter in a warm space for 48 hours. Bottles should get hard. After 48 hours uncap and check for carbonation level. If level good cap and refrigerate, if more carbonation desired recap and place back on counter. Keeps 2 weeks in the fridge.
