Mix to dissolve sugar and then slowly pour over the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour out onto cookie sheets ( the kind with sides). Using a silpat is best, but not absolutely necessary.Place in oven and stir in sides of pan and redistribute, as the mixture starts to brown, about every 3-4 minutes. It is done when golden but be careful not to over cook as it will ruin the taste. This should take about 10-20 minutes, depending on the kind of pan and your oven. Remove from oven, press down with a large spoon and let thoroughly cool, BEFORE stirring. When cool, it will be congealed in large sheet like pieces. Break it up, leaving larger chunks, if you like it chunky. If not, break it up into small pieces.
