Here is how you make Dried Cranberry Granola:

Position rack on top third of oven and preheat to 325FGrease heavy large baking sheet. Combine first five ingredients in large bowl. Bring sugar, water and oil to boil in heavy medium saucepan, stirring occasionally. Add sugar mixture to oak mixture and stir with fork to coat the oats. Spread out evenly on the greased sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Stir mixture with spatula. Bake 10 minutes. Stir and add cranberries. Bake 10 minutes. Cool completely then store in air tight container for up to 2 weeks.Try with different fruit and different nuts.
