Here is how you make Homemade Toffee:

Add all ingredients to a large preheated pan. Heat until 300 degrees or until you reach the hard candy stage. ( To tell if you have reached the hard candy stage get a bowl of ice water and dribble some toffee off a spoon in the water. It should make a trail off the spoon. It should also be hard and brittle when you pull it out. If it drops off the spoon in dollops or comes out soft it's not ready) Then pour onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
