Gather all your ingredients and tools. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. 1. Zest and juice 1 lemon. Add 1/2 teaspoon zest and 1 tablespoon of juice to a large mixing bowl. Save extra zest and juice for other recipes.2. Peel and grate ginger root. Add 1 teaspoon of ginger to mixing bowl. The same tool used for lemon can be used here. TIP: Use a spoon to peel ginger, you will waste less than if you clean it with a knife. Also, store unused ginger root in a ziplock baggie in refrigerator veggie crisper.3.
