1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

2 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries
1/2 cup dry sweetener (Splenda or Altern)
2 Tbsp water

Mix in:
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1 1/2 Tbsp water

Here is how you make Fruit Of The Forest Whole Wheat and Oat Bars:

Combine oatmeal, flour, sugar, soda & salt. Add the melted oleo and mix well. Reserve 3/4 cup mixture; press remaining crumbs into bottom of 11x9 glass baking dish. Bake 10 minutes at 375*.Combine fruit, 2 Tbsp water & dry sweetener in medium saucepan. Cook on med heat until boiling, stirring often. Simmer for 2 minutes, covered, stirring occasionally. Mix together in small bowl: 1 Tbsp water, lemon juice & cornstarch. Add to fruit mixture and cook until thickened and shiny, about 30 seconds. Spread over partially baked crust to within 1/4 inch of edge. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top and bake 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
