Here is how you make Abi's REALLY homemade chicken and dumpling soup:

In a really large soup pot, boil the chicken in the vegetable broth, along with the seasonings and the green beans for about one hour. After the soup has boiled for 45 minutes of that hour, in a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients for the dumplings with a fork. Add the wet ingredients in the center and pull the dry ingredients together so it is a tacky dough. Make 2" balls of the dough with your [clean] hands and drop them into the broth. You will need to stir fairly often. Once all the dough is in the broth, stir, and allow to cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the broth thickens.
