What Are The Ingredients For Sick Day Chicken Soup Recipe?The ingredients for Sick Day Chicken Soup are: 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts2 cups chopped carrots 1 stalk chopped celery 1/2 medium onion chopped 1 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil 1 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 3 cups Mueller's whole grain rotini 3 cans Kroger Clear Chicken Broth - Less Sodium Fat Free 4 cups water 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp dried thyme 2 cloves garlic (whole w/out skin) 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt 2 bay leaves How Do I Make Sick Day Chicken Soup?Here is how you make Sick Day Chicken Soup: 1.) Chop carrots, celery, & onions. 2.) Saute vegetables in pan with olive oil, garlic, & dried herbs. 3.) While vegetables are cooking down, cut 1 lb of boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite sized pieces. 4.) Add chicken to vegetables & add 1 1/2 cups of sliced mushrooms. 5.) Continue to cook until chicken is almost cooked through & vegetables are slightly tender (do not cook all the way through as they will continue to cook in the broth). 6.) Add 3 cans of reduced sodium chicken broth & 4 cups (2 cans) of water & bring to a boil.7.) Add 1/2 box whole grain pasta. Cook another 10-12 minutes or until pasta is cooked completely. I leave the 2 garlic cloves whole & remove them later for a subtle garlic flavor in the background. :) Each serving is about 1 1/2 cups.
