Here is how you make Rose's Homemade Rolls:

Combine 2 1/4 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add 1/2 cup butter and mix at low speed, gradually adding hot water. Add egg and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add 3/4 cups flour and beat 2 more minutes. Stir in remaining flour (3cups) to make a soft dough. Knead 10 minutes. Cover and let rise for at least 15 minutes. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut circles. Melt remaining 1/2 cup of butter in 17 1/2 by 11 1/2 pan. Dip rolls in butter on both sides and fold in half. Arrange in pan with rolls touching.
