--1 1/2 cups lentils --3 cups water--1/2 red onion, diced or dry onion--1/2 cup shredded carrot (= 2 medium carrots)--1 tsp salt--1 tsp dried mustard--1/4 tsp ground ginger (fresh is shown in the picture, but it was all black and nasty when I peeled it)--2 T soy sauce --1/3 cup honey or Agave syrupWash the lentils and put in the crock pot together with the 3 c of water.Add the shredded carrots and oninons, soy sauce and the rest of the ingredients and cook on low for ~3-4 hours. Done! Eat with brown rice or quinoa and serve a portion of green veggies on the side!
