This is a really flavorful tomato-based salsa that is always a big hit for parties. I often make double-batches and its still gone! It's also really easy to adapt to your personal tastes. I often add some jalapeno and habanero seeds because my husband likes a little more heat, but you could easily omit the habanero and second jalapeno all together. Keep the serranos for taste. What Are The Ingredients For Sarah's Salsa Recipe?The ingredients for Sarah's Salsa are: 5 med. tomatoes (pick the ones on the vine, they have the greater acidity needed for salsa), 1 sm (6 oz. can) tomato paste, 1 lg. white onion, 1 bunch green onion, 2 jalapenos, 2 serranos, 1 habanero (or 2), 1 bunch cilantro, chopped, 1 lime's juice, salt and pepper to taste (I usually use around 1.5 tsp salt) and a couple grinds pepperHow Do I Make Sarah's Salsa?Here is how you make Sarah's Salsa: Chop everything in advance and set aside. Cook everything but the cilantro for about 10-20 minutes until fragrant and the tomatoes have released a lot of their juice. Cool and add cilantro. For best flavor let marinate at least 12 hours, preferably 18-24 hours. **Hint: Though it takes longer, I hand seed the tomatoes, before cooking by cutting in quarters and pushing all the juice and seeds out with my fingers.
