12 cloves garlic, minced
2 stalks celery, chopped

1 tsp red pepper
6 tsp Better Than Bouillon (chicken)
7 cups hot water
4 bay leaves
16 oz boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked, chopped
14 oz Oscar Meyer Turkey Polska Kielbasa
5 cups cooked brown rice (optional)


How Do I Make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo?

Here is how you make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo:

1. Mix oil & flour in a large stockpot. Stir continuously over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until roux is the color of a penny. 2. Add onion & pepper mix, celery, garlic, black pepper, and red pepper. Stir for 5 minutes. 3. Mix 7 cups of hot water with 6 tsp of boullion and add to stockpot. Stir until all roux is combined.4. Add bay leaves, cooked cubed chicken breast, & turkey kielbasa to the stockpot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes.
