4 cups of uncooked old fashioned oatmeal
1/2 cup raw bran
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raw sesame seeds
1 cup slivered almonds

1 cup of canola oil
1/3 cup of honey
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Add and refrigerate:
1/2 cup raisins (or cranberries)
1/2 cup of toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup of flaxseeds

Here is how you make Dr. H's Breakfast Mix:

Mix the first 2 combinations together, then layer the mix onto two oiled baking sheets. Place in a preheated oven at 325 degrees for approximately twenty minutes. Watch carefully, as it may burn close to the edges. Stir to assure full toasting, then continue to bake another 10 minutes or so.Remove from the oven. Once cooled, add raisins (or cranberries) 1/2 cup of toasted wheat germ and 1/2 cup of flaxseeds. Keep the mix in the refrigerator, very important.
