1 lb of fish, tilapia (but your favorite fish is a great sub)
1/4 cup of fat free plain yogurt
1 egg
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion chopped
salt and pepper, if you like
olive oil


How Do I Make Tara's Fish Cakes?

Here is how you make Tara's Fish Cakes:

These fish cakes are my version of a recipe from Prevention magazine. Bake Fish in one inch of water on 350 degrees for 10-20 minutes. Remove fish from pan and pat dry with paper towels. Remove as much water as you can. Flake with a fork and mix with all ingredients (1/2 of bread crumbs). Shape into round cakes (4-8 depending on the size). Press your fish cakes in the remaining bread crumbs. At this point you can continue or place in the refrigerator for the next day. To complete this recipe, place fish into a baking pan and drizzle with olive oil. Bake on 350 for 10 minutes if fresh, 20 minutes if from the refrigerator.
