Here is how you make Saag Daal with Ground Lamb:

Brown lamb with a small amount of the spices and set aside. Reserving a bit of the fat from the lamb, saute the onion, garlic and ginger until the onion begins to look translucent. Add all other ingredients (except yogurt). Add 4-6 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 60 minutes.
